Ring stacking: the jewelry trend I can't get enough of
The girls are playing it safe with clothes these days, sticking to neutrals and "quiet luxury" "office siren" black sweaters and trousers. If this is what you're doing, I have good news: you have some extra room to be loud in the jewelry department! Ring stacking is one of the best ways to add a glamorous and creative touch to an ensemble--in my opinion, it shows you have strong personal style. Here are some different ways to stack your rings!
1. Lots of skinny matching rings
This is a photo of Billie Eilish's jewelry at the 2021 Met Gala. She has multiple rings on each finger. The look still is cohesive and comes off as delicate because the rings use the same materials and have slim profiles.
2. Toi et Moi effect
This is my favorite way to stack rings, especially for a date night or formal occasion when I want to *subtly* exude opulence. It's evocative of toi et moi engagement rings in our recent memory like Em Rata's:
Or Ariana Grande's:
Having two focal point stones split into separate rings is more versatile than one toi et moi, and they can be combined for a similar effect. Instant glam.
3. A turquoise moment
In my opinion, turquoise is classic. Turquoise jewelry looks good on everyone, and though it's associated with more casual Western style, there are beautiful formal turquoise pieces available too. I inherited lots of turquoise from my grandmother's collection when she passed away, and love to wear all my rings at the same time. I've found this works best during fall/winter when wearing all black--it lets the turquoise really pop.
