Healthy Poppyseed Dressing

Healthy Poppyseed Dressing - Lizzy Helena Brown

I absolutely adore Briannas Home Style Rich Poppyseed Dressing. Paired with peaches, it makes for peak late summer snacking. I do not, however, adore the calories and ingredients in it. Because I stocked up on beautiful ripe, in-season peaches this week, I set out to make a healthy version of the dressing.

While the OG recipe's main ingredients are canola oil and sugar, we use a base of organic yogurt and touch of honey for sweetness. Drizzled on peaches, it's perfect as a snack or appetizer. You could also pack it as a fruit/veggie dip for kids' lunches when school starts again!

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup organic yogurt (I get mine at Trader Joe's)

- 1 1/2 tbsp distilled white vinegar

- 1 tbsp lemon juice

- 1 tsp honey

- 1/4 tsp garlic powder

- 1/2 tsp onion powder

- A pinch of salt

- 1 1/2 tbsp organic poppyseeds

Add the yogurt to a cup. Stir in honey, vinegar, and lemon juice.

After the liquid ingredients are combined, stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and poppyseeds.

The final result should look like this! It should be thick but should still pour off the spoon.

Drizzle over some fresh peaches and enjoy!
